How to install a audi a5 stereo system

Tools you need to prepare for the Audi A5 car stereo install: Wrench, Audi stereo removal tools, Installation sleeve.

Use a wrench to loosen the bolt on the negative battery cable. Move the cable upwards away from the battery and put it away.

Slide 2 Audi stereo keys into the slots at either corner of the oem car stereo. Push the tools into the openings until you find that they lock into place.

Put your fingers into the loops at the end of the tools and take the stereo from the dashboard stereo dock. Disconnect the stereo wiring behind and the antenna cable.

Slide the installation sleeve together with the aftermarket stereo deck into the empty stereo dock. Run the 2 stereo wiring connectors and antenna cable from the rear of the dock to the front of the dashboard. Connect the stereo wiring connectors with the wiring harness adapter leads.

Connect the wiring harness adapter lead connectors to the relative outlets behind the new stereo. Insert the antenna cable lead into the antenna input on the rear of the new stereo deck. Slide the unit into the sleeve until you see that it locks into place within the dash.
